Seattle is where I came from, a place I call home. However, this time, the travel became a “trip” to Seattle, like any kind of trip to a new place.
I bought the ticket a month before head, but it’s still later than other friends. I wasn’t originally invited to this trip, it was simply that I accidentally noticed that they were visiting Seattle and I asked why they weren’t still at my place, as long as they bought me my flight ticket.
We had nine people in total, and I never traveled in such a big group before. I planned everything ahead of time, and created a detailed plan, as if we were simply tourists to this new city. Though I’ve been to these places uncountable times before.
The memorable part about this trip is not about the places we’ve been through, or not even about the beautiful pictures that can become my picture of the year that my friends took for me. It’s about the time we’ve spent together, sitting in the living room, sharing and speaking about topics till the sun starts to rise.
We talked about philosophy, talked about each of our stories, and talked about futures we might face.
I feel like it’s been so long since I have had a friend group like this, which allows me to share my thoughts and discuss nonsense for hours.
The kind of feeling is enchanting, I have to say. Humans are indeed social animals. We do need friends.
