Japan eVisa Application

I just applied for a Japan visa through the eVisa. It was quite simple, and the website already stated everything that you need during the application process. However, there are two things that I didn’t see mentioned on the page but I faced during my application process.

First, when you’ve started the application process, you may not close your device or exit the page. All the information that you’ve previously filled in will be lost once you leave. For example, I was using my laptop to apply. There is some information that I’m still missing, and I just left the page open and turned to use my phone to gather that information. After all, when I came back, the system had automatically logged me out because it passed the time limit, and all the information I’ve previously filled in needed to be refilled.

Secondly, for the finance supporting document, they only take debit card statements but no credit card statements. This came to be the reason why my first application failed and need to do a second turn.

Thirdly, a small tip: the trip plan needs to be as detailed as possible. No worries if you may not be able to completely follow the plan; just write it in detail as a reference. There is no need to actually book the flight or hotel when they ask for travel information. Find your flight on any website, proceed to the checkout page, and take a screenshot for the two flights, and that will do. Find the information about the hotel and use that information to fill out the questions related to the hotel, and that will do.

Wish everyone success with the application process and wish everyone a nice and safe trip!
