The Promise from Mr. G

Mr. G has just delivered his speech to the people.

“God will show mercy,

The people shall be full of joy.

Men have their role, and women have their home.

We will create a kingdom where everyone is equal,

We will create a land where everyone will be fulfilled.

No more tears,

No more poverty,

No more pain.

It is a promise the god will satisfy all your needs.”

People cheer as they listen,

An open world of wealth and happiness appears in front of them,

So close as if it is touchable.

Mr. G leaved the crowd;

He needs some time to be alone,

So he walks up the hill in the forest.

He hears the woman sobbing.

“What’s going on, madam?”

“I lost my bread, sir. That is the food for my whole family.”

Mr. G stands in silence for a long moment.

“I am sincerely sorry for your situation.

But your pain is too small compared to the development of human beings,

God cannot help.”
