Today’s afternoon, I got the chance to provide a brief info session in a Chinese community Christianity Church. I talked to the elder of this church a month ago about how I want to use a little bit of the time at the end of the gathering to talk about my project, and he scheduled me for today.
I am really glad about today’s info session. There are more than five people coming to me after the session asking for more informations or directly asking for help.
There is one mother who’s experiencing communication problem with her son who’s indulge in video games; There is one mother who came to me because her daughter is having sleeping issue due to the pass away of her husband…
Suddenly, the meaning of my non-profit just turned more clear. I see what I’m doing and what I’m able to do. The research was right and I was right, there are people suffering from mental issue, and there are Chinese who’s having trouble reaching to proper support. With people describing me their problems and concerns, I can’t imagine how they are going to be able to go through their hard times.
I wish I can grow stronger. I wish I can lead more people to take their first step in mental health.
