This week, I just finished Brainstorm written by Daniel J. Siegel. The school counselor recommended me to read this book at the beginning of the school year, because she said this book is really helpful on understanding adolescent and teenage.
I enjoy reading this book. To be honest, I feel like this author is at least a better author than Sigmund Freud. Siegel used a lot of really good example in this book, those example helped me understood more vividly about teenage.
In my own word, I will conclude “adolescent” as the years when a child started to realize the difference between “self” and the world, which is the process Siegel described using the word “integrate”. I think “integrate” is the key word of the book, and also a new vocabulary I learned from this book.
Here are some notes I took from the book. These are all objective conclusion, no any subjective opinions contained.
