Different perspective of valentines-day🌹

Unfortunately, I don’t have anyone to date.

Fortunately, I’ve been selling flowers this valentines-day and I’ve earned money!!

Gosh I’m so proud of myself.

This is the note I used to keep in track of my orders. Though since I didn’t thought about posting them by the time I wrote them so they are in Chinese. Anyway, here’s the translation.

I spent $68 to stock flowers: $44 roses; $6 lily, $5 myosotis; $5 eucalyptus; $5 baby’s breath.

I sold 5 bundles in total. Which cost $25, $25, $15, $6.5, $10. I earned $7.8, $6.8, $7, $0.4, $9 from them. I earned $81.5 in total, and the retained profits are $31.

Overall, I think this sell had been really success! I didn’t think of doing this as a sell at first. Two days before valentines, I went to the grocery stores to buy flowers for myself ( you can tell from the previous blog that I have the habit of buying flowers for myself every week), and that day, I was in a very good mood, I found that all of the flowers are so pretty, so I can’t stop myself from buying all of them. However, after I brought all of them back dorm, I start to regret about buying that much, because I don’t have enough space for them and I don’t need that much in my room. Then, I came up with an idea, even though it’s just for fun, I sent a moment saying that I’m selling flowers and asked if anyone want to buy flowers for valentines. Eventually! There is actually people who’s willing to buy flowers! So I started selling them.

My dad always told me to find something I love, find something I truly enjoy for my career in the future. I mean, from this activity, I found why he always told me that. He was right, when you are doing something you really enjoy, time goes by fast, and you won’t at all feel tired. Flower arrangement is one of my hobbies, not exactly something I love or something I would want to spend my whole life on. However, when I’m doing it and when I’m enjoying it, it seems less important about how much time I spent on it and how much money I earn from it. I was just enjoying the moment, the moment that’s in it.

I think I will sell flowers again next year, and next year I will make the whole process better, more sophisticated (the moments, the flowers, and the materials, etc.). So that I will be able to earn more money.
