1 A gun in the hand without firing is better than time without a gun in the hand
I’m still not sure why this sentence reveals something about psychopaths, I’m thinking about let’s take a look at the overall meaning.
First of all, to a psychopath, the word “gun” shouldn’t have any extend meanings. So let’s say you have a gun in your hand and you don’t use it, but when you’re faced with a huge bear and you need a gun to shoot it down, you don’t have one. There was word in the middle that’s worth paying attention with, better than. Then it is obvious that the situation described in the first half of the sentence is naturally much better than that described in the second.
I still have a kind of uncertain feeling here, why does this have the qualities of a psychopath? The introduction of Barry and this sentence in the book indicates that the deeper meaning behind it was covered, that is to say, the extended meaning behind it is far more complex than what is seen now. Although I still can’t understand why it has the characteristics of psychopaths according to the logic of this language, so it may be explained in the later thinking.
2. The way to truly determine leadership in a group is not to take but to give
So psychopaths are relatively well suited to be leaders. Apart from being eternally wise and rational, apart from having a compelling personality, there is one very crucial point. Psychopaths and ordinary people have different spatial rules, so what leaders and the masses want is not the same, so many people want what leaders can easily give.
